    Being offered for your consideration is this exceptional Pair of Antique Cranberry Cut to Clear I believe Whale Oil Lamps. This lovely pair boasts finely cut to clear cranberry fonts with beautiful fluted brass pillars and feet mounted on solid marble stepped bases. The lamps are in superb condition with the minimal antique wear. They have beautiful even shiny brass clean glass and marble.  Each lamp measure 18" tall to the top of the light socket, 5" square marble base.  The switches are a 3-way socket. no harps or finials included.
    The Egermann Company, dating back to the early 1800s, specializes in hand decorated glass with each piece posing a decorative and highly art oriented character. Egermann’s main claim to fame is its invention in 1832 of a process called “red staining” in where the dark ruby red coloring on each piece’s surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving processes.
    These unique and hard to find pair of lamps would make a lovely addition to a collection or home.
