Title: “Her Midnight Garden”
This project, like all of my new ones, was made inside an antique carved wood frame. Don’t expect a perfect frame, there are lots of things that give it character that made me choose the frame, such as weathering, old wood showing through faded stain, small cracks, etc. But the art piece is solid.
The materials are stained glass tiles, hand-crafted glass figures, Capodimonte porcelain flowers made in Italy, natural stone, handmade ceramic red heart, Czech glass beads, and several different colors of grout.
This has been my most popular piece, being the first to spend so much time and effort on facial skin tones. Plus most everyone has said they love the garden aspect, flowers and butterflies
